I often find fake plastic leaves on the beach and I'm puzzled by their presence

starting with the smallest one and then overlaying the larger ones as I moved forward

I hadn't realized that I had so many broken pieces

so I deleted that photo

Most of these pieces are called the "arms" and that's where the title came from

Sometimes they seem to have just fallen out of someone's pocket and other times I can tell they've spent a long time in the water, getting knocked around against the rocks and sand and eventually landing back up on the beach, worse for the wear and sometimes in pieces.
