While we dont bother with vinegar because of the acidic nature of it, it isnt a destructive method, UNLESS you leave it in too long. It looks like he did and in the process there is etching all over the skillet. This means nothing to how it will cook, clean and perform for you in your kitchen. It just needs a little more layers of use
