ELVERINA JOHNSON | 'Playground' | 2026 | Painting oceanic National Gallery of Victoria"When I was growing up in Yarrabah, we made our own fun on Country. We always used what was around us to make fun. One of our favourite things was using medicine vine as a skipping rope. Me, my sisters and cousins would spend hours playing together, laughing and making games.
